The fridge also has plenty of storage space for your groceries and leftovers. This model has an ice maker that can make fresh, filtered ice automatically. It's easy to use, too. The water and ice dispensers are inside the fridge rather than in the front, so they don't obstruct the sleek design of the exterior. The dispensers can be used with any cold beverage, including juice and sports drinks. This refrigerator is finished in an extremely durable stainless-steel material that resists scratches. It's fingerprint-resistant, too. If you're worried about smudges appearing on your surfaces, make use of a cleaning product that removes fingerprints without harsh chemicals.

This refrigerator features a generous interior space of 20.5 cubic feet, and Bosch's unique farmfresh system, which has four cutting-edge freshness technology which keep fruits, vegetables and leftovers fresh for up to three times as long as the average. The temperature of the freezer is near-perfect, with a range of less than a fraction of a degree away from ideal.

The Bosch refrigerator is more expensive than the GE Appliances version, but it has more features. It is worth the extra expense. It has a door in door storage area where you can keep small quantities of food items in a bin that is able to fit right into the fridge door. It also features a convertible compartment with five temperature settings to suit different types of beverages, snacks and meat. The Bosch fridge also comes with a smart-home feature known as Home Connect that allows you to control the fridge remotely using your tablet or phone.

The only downsides to this fridge are the flimsy main fridge drawer as well as the difficult to use main door latch that is right in the middle. LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

LG counter-depth refrigerators have a lot of storage into small footprints. Counter-depth refrigerators are cheaper than standard-depth French-door fridges, and they can eliminate the necessity for an under-counter freezer.  LG Smart Mirror InstaView counter-depth refrigerator (LMWC23626S) is no exception, offering the capacity of a standard refrigerator in an elegant, modern design with an internal dispenser that makes it easy to access filtered water.

This model's exterior showcases a fingerprint-resistant stainless steel finish and a mirrored InstaView panel that adds to the modern look of the interior. The door bins are spacious of space, and the top shelf can be folded to create a half-depth shelf that can hold taller items. A set of crisper drawers are in the bottom of the refrigerator, and the deli drawer with a full width can be used to store meat or produce.

A recessed ice maker is on the back wall of the refrigerator. This helps to save space and allows you to store an extra bag of ice. The refrigerator is equipped with door cooling that makes use of vents on the fridge and freezer doors to push cold air in. It helps prevent hot spots and keeps the temperature of the refrigerator.

This LG refrigerator was a standout in our tests and has plenty of capacity to ensure that your family is well-fed However, it does have some quirks that we found annoying. The drawers for the freezer aren't as cold as we'd like. The middle drawer sat at 41 degrees during our highest test of use which is warm enough to serve ice cream and other frozen items. The temperature in the rest of the freezer remained at about 36 degrees.

Another issue is that refrigerator doors have handles that are sunken on the inside and underneath, which make it hard for those who are smaller to close them. This may seem minor, but we prefer front-mounted handles on refrigerators because they're simpler to open and close.

The fridge is expensive, but it's worth the money for anyone looking to have an ultra-modern appearance in their kitchen. This refrigerator is ideal for those who want to upgrade their existing fridge or are building new homes and want to have a seamless kitchen.

Samsung Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The RF23M8090SG is Samsung's most recent and most stylish counter-depth French door refrigerator, priced at $4,200. It's a good-looking model that boasts useful features like an autofill water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It also did well in our cooling test, but we're not a fan of the gimmicky handles or the flimsy crisper bins.

One thing that distinguishes the RF23M8090SG apart is the Bespoke line that lets you personalize your fridge using removable color panels that can be swapped out whenever you get tired of the ones you have currently. There are 11 different colors, ranging from pastels to more bright colors. There are also four metallic finishes. Some of these panels can be customized with text or photos, making the fridge a more personal touch point that can match your tie-dye Crocs, Rick Owens dress or Andy Warhol banana neon sign.

The LED lighting can be switched to a different hue, which is a nice feature. The interior of the refrigerator is finished in a way that helps reduce smudges and makes cleaning much easier. The only downsides of the RF23M8090SG are its slightly cramped beverage center and a bit of a learning curve when it comes to opening the door-in-door feature which houses a water jug and a dispenser. You must feel for a lever on the side of the door that is halfway across, and when you've done that you will be able to open an additional door inside the fridge that contains the docking station for pitchers, the water dispenser and two shelves for drinks.

The 6.8 cubic foot freezer compartment is large enough to store plenty of frozen food items. Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

French door refrigerators provide an elegant design to any kitchen, and are a good fit in different sizes of rooms. If you're looking for the convenience of this design without the additional height, a counter-depth refrigerator is the way to go. This model from Frigidaire that we've extensively tested and has received an above average rating in our reviews due to its low cost and thoughtful features such as an adjustable temperature drawer.

But it also has a few nagging problems. Our test data suggests that the FGHB2866PF can get very hot often in the freezer and become uncomfortably hot in the innermost shelves of the fridge. This is evident in our heat maps, which show how internal temperatures vary from minute to minute. The butter bin in the orange section in the upper right corner is particularly warm during our testing period. This might not seem too bad at first but it's a sign that the fridge is spending a significant part of the time at 33 degrees.

It's also worth noting that the FGHB2866PF isn't an Energy Star-certified model, which could be a factor for some buyers. The main issue is that the fridge isn't the best. It's not equipped with the latest features and is made of a slender, flimsy material which makes it difficult to recommend it over better options at this price point.

In many ways, this Frigidaire feels like the stainless-steel version of a fridge that you might see on display at the local appliance store. It's a good choice with a brushed-finish that looks attractive and is resistant to streaks. However, it doesn't offer much to distinguish itself from its competitors which are more feature-rich and more affordable.

Still, if you're shopping for a cheap counter-depth French door refrigerator but don't have the budget to splurge on our best selections, then the FGHC2331PF is worth considering. It's big enough to meet the requirements of many families and does an excellent job at keeping food fresh. Even if  french style fridge freezer 's not an energy-efficient unit, it's much less expensive than our best-rated models.
